For the price and the location, we felt it was very good value for money. We had booked a room with an extra large double bed, which made the stay so much more pleasant, as we don't like the tiny European "double beds", which are really singles, in my view. The hotel gave us a room on the top floor with a sofa bed for our child free of charge, which was very nice, as the hotel is designed for 2 people per room only (they don't have rooms or suites for 3 or 4 people). The room was clean and quiet, the beds very comfortable and not hard like in most other hotels, the towels were fluffy, and as an added bonus, there was even hair conditioner in the room, which one doesn't find anywhere else anymore. The room also had a little fridge for our water, a large safe, functioning air conditioning, and proper lighting, which is not a given. The staff also supplies free water every day. Breakfast was included and very good in terms of variety. The personnel at reception and the waiters were fantastic, always helpful and friendly, particularly given that we were in France. :-) At breakfast, my daughter had wrapped her retainers in a napkin, which was then thrown away with her leftovers, and the staff actually dug through the trash and retrieved her expensive retainers an hour later again! Amazing! There is a VERY nice and lively tex mex place right outside the hotel, as well as Rue de la Gaite and Rue d'Odessa, which are lined with dozens of restaurants on both sides, so food options are plenty (but not always good). Avoid the Korean place on Rue de la Gaite close to the hotel. We've never eaten so bad in our lives. The location is great in general, as Gare Montparnasse and 2 metro stations are close by. It's easy to get everywhere.

Pleasant staff. Water at front desk which was great after a long day. Bar with happy hour and comfortable seating in an outside courtyard. Breakfast was fantastic. I was leery of hotel breakfast because I read that Rick Steve's recommends that you save money and go to a coffee shop or pastry shop for a pastry and coffee. Though fantastic, the breakfast at this Voco was fantastic. Lots of selection and great food. Seriously close to the Gaite stop for the Metro. The entrance to the metro is approximately 30 feet from the hotel front door. It was so convenient!! The Indian restaurant is right beside the hotel it was a fun, great place to eat. We had a good meal there. Their fries are great! The Le Petit Sommelier restaurant is two blocks from the hotel. They have the best wine list in Paris and super beef burgundy. I highly recommend it. So many great restaurants within walking distance.A pharmacy is just 2 blocks from the hotel as well. Everything was just so close. If you are staying over a weekend, there is a wonderful street market just 2 blocks from the hotel. We just had a wonderful time with everything so close. The room was spacious and clean with a refrigerator so you can buy some wine and cheese and enjoy them everyday. The shower was great too!! If we are ever blessed to visit Paris again, we will definitely stay there again!!

The hotel itself is conveniently located within walking distance to the Gare Montparnasse. I stayed there a total of three nights at the top and end of my trip to France; one night when I first arrived, then two nights before I left. I can't recommend the place enough - it's quiet, comfortable, convenient, and elegant without being ostentatious. The staff is excellent -- helpful but discrete. The area around the hotel is very walkable with tons of great restaurants of all cuisines - from crepes to curry - and the St. Germaine de Pres area, with a lovely daily outdoor market is within a 12-minute walk. I even came across an outdoor artist's market en route to La Coupole on the first night. Lots of options for transit, easy access to shopping, pharmacies, specialty foods, et cetera. ENJOY!

The location is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They create a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at ease, so you won’t hesitate to chat with them or ask for assistance. When we arrived on a rainy day, they kindly lent us an umbrella without a second thought. The lobby space is lovely. Since our room wasn’t ready upon arrival, we relaxed in the seating area and took some time to organize our luggage. Our room was wonderful—cozy and well-designed. Though it wasn’t very spacious, it was just right for us.

We loved our stay at Voco. The room was super nice, large and well decorated. It was very clean. There are lots of little touches that really show the quality of a 4 star hotel, such as a welcome treat, coffee in the room and an in room Chromecast option. The hotel is well located, right by Montparnasse train station and right by Gaite metro. We loved the covered parking, which is quite rare in Paris. Make sure to call in advance to reserve a spot there though! We will absolutely be back next time we come to Paris. A real gem!
